Dan Marino Foundation – WalkAbout Autism

Project LIT is all about keeping the people informed. There are so many issues we try to address on the blog, but sometimes we tend to only stick to certain topics or current events

Currently 1 in 110 children are born with autism. (See more on Autism Spectrum Disorder.)

Here’s a chance to get involved in Project LIT’s first (of many hopefully) philanthropic pursuits. On January 29th the Dan Marino Foundation is hosting a walk in Miami to raise funds for different resources for people with autism to utilize. This includes different services, schools, and programs which will directly benefit those with autism.

Project LIT has a goal to raise $250 before the walk on January 29th. Please donate anything you can to help us help those afflicted with autism.

before funding ANY charity. PLEASE visit, MRMCMED.ORG (reform march of dimes.org) & humaneseal.org, animal research has NEVER been validated. (pcrm.org) “animal studies are done for LEGAL REASONS and not for scientific reasons. the predictive value of such studies for man is MEANINGLESS” 1964 james gallagher, medical director of lederle laboratories (uk).

    • Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I’m unable to find anything regarding a link between this foundation and animal testing. Animal testing is something Project LIT is utterly opposed to, and we would never want to support it directly or indirectly. With that being said, this particular campaign for the Dan Marino foundation is supposed to only go to services for those with autism. This would involve community resources, and does not support the research initiative of the charity.

We appreciate your concern and urge you to continue to inform people regarding animal testing.

tell (pcrm.org) humaneseal.org, so they can put you on there list of charities that DO NOT fund animal research.
