As it has grown in Silicon Valley, Google has lost some of its entrepreneurial culture and become a slower-moving company. Today, January 20, 2011, Google announced that they are handing the reins of the company to one of its co-founders, Larry Page. Larry Page is the co-founder of Google and will be taking on the position as chief executive from Eric E. Schmidt. This sudden replacement is due to multiple factors including the sudden rise of social networking sites which threaten Google’s online advertising market.
